  1. Convenient locations. You can attend school at our main campus in Tempe or our west campus in northwest Phoenix. Either way, you can benefit from hands-on training, an industry-current curriculum and mentoring from our experienced professionals. Program availability differs by location

  2. Award winning student services department – in 2007, the Arizona Private School Association awarded Collins Student Services department with the “Best Practices” award for their dedication to student success.

  3. Career Services – our career services department is committed to successful employment of our current students and graduates. The career-path program initiates employment opportunities in the student’s field of interest much earlier than graduation. This program along with internship programs can help students gain valuable experience before graduation.

  4. Internationally recognized film facility – the new Collins film facility is complete with two 2000 square foot sound stages. We use the Sony CineAlta 900 HD Cam and the Panasonic Varicam to give students the experience of shooting with the same HD cams used in feature film production. Ending footage can be viewed in our 150 seat movie theater at Collins College studios.

  5. Campus WIFI access allows students the convenience to work on their projects at all areas of the campus without the restriction of designated areas.

  6. Tutoring – Collins College commitment to student success starts at the beginning of the students college program. We offer academic assessment evaluations for all new students to identify each students academic need. College preparatory classes and tutoring are at no additional cost to the student.

  7. Campus Clubs and Organizations – ASID, IIDA, Career Club and Alumni Association are wonderful ways to stay active in the collins community

  8. Industry/Alumni speakers – We have a thriving industry speaker/workshop program. This allows students the opportunity to learn from leaders in their respective industries and broaden their horizons on career paths in their program. A few speakers that have taught workshops or hosted speaking engagements are:

    • Karim Rashid – noted designer who’s work is showcased at the Museum of Modern Art. His clients have included Umbra and Prada.
    • Earnest Adams – game designer and co-founder of the International Game Developers Association. His credits include Madden NFL
    • Brooke Nunez – Collins Alumni and Graphic Designer. Her clients have included Toys R Us, Nike and DKNY

     

  9. Scholarships – Collins awards over $100,000 per year in school funded scholarships. In addition, we have a scholarship office located in financial aid that aids students in finding national and state scholarships.

  10. Faculty – The faculty of Collins college holds a wealth of industry information. The majority of our instructors are currently working in their respective fields.
