Tempe, AZ (November 14, 2007) - Collins College recently launched a new website to reflect the school’s new film and art programs and its emergence as a leader in design and technology. For its creativity, the site won a 2007 Silver Davey Award. The Davey honors creative traditional and interactive work worldwide. This year more than 4,000 companies entered the competition. The new design is energetic and incorporates interactive as well as standard elements. Unique features include the site’s landing page that offers potential students three paths of entry: Film, Video & Visual FX; IT & Interactive Media; and Visual Arts & Design. The audio enhanced site includes a student and instructor art gallery. The audio enhanced site features more than 80 examples of graphics, animation, design, and of the student samples. There is also a faculty gallery with more than 25 images on display. The Davey Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
