Collins College to Host Guitar Hero II Tournament
A Guitar Playing Simulation Game that Allows Participants to Rock Out

What:
Collins College, a school of design and technology, will host a video game tournament, Guitar Hero II, where participants can fulfill their fantasy of being a rock star. The event’s sponsor is RedOctane - publisher, developer and distributor of interactive entertainment software, hardware and accessories.

Players are invited to participate in this single elimination style tournament. There is a 32-player sign-up limit per skill level – medium, hard, and expert, and competitors may only participate in one skill level. Hyper-speed is allowed if both players agree. Songs are selected randomly and players may bring their own Guitar Hero controller.

Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. First place winners in each level will receive one month of free guitar lessons from Amy K. Music Company. Prizes for 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced the day of the tournament. RedOctane will provide the prizes.

There is no charge to participate or attend this public tournament.
