Collins College Institutional Scholarships and Grants


Presidential Scholarship
Selection Criteria:
Write a 250 word essay explaining how a scholarship would benefit their future career opportunities as well as their financial need.

A reference from a teacher, counselor, co-worker or professional.

Not open to staff or immediate family members of Collins College staff or prior presidential scholarship winners.

High School Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Accuplacer test in English, math and reading comprehension, as well as an interview.

Not open to current students, staff or immediate family members of Collins College staff.              

Scholarship Awards:                                                                                        

Top ten scoring students in each testing session (Winter, Spring) will be interviewed for a final award. The top five students for each award date will receive:

1st Place $5000
2nd Place: $2500
3rd Place: $1000
4th Place: $1000
5th Place: $500

Award Date: June 1st

Test Dates: Varies by Enrollment

Marie Glennen Memorial Tuition Scholarship
Open to Collins College continuing students entering second or subsequent academic year of school. Previous winners are not eligible.

Selection Criteria: An essay that demonstrates commitment to excellence and desire to excel in applicant’s chosen field.

Maximum of $5,000 total awards per year.                                 
Awards determined June, August, October.

Institutional Grant

    Financial need.

 

    Letter describing goals in chosen career field.

 

    Must meet all admission criteria.

Grant Awards:

Applications accepted until all awards have been made per deadline date.

Awards up to $1000 each


All scholarships are applied to direct tuition and supply costs at Collins College and are awarded starting in the first term of attendance after recipients are determined. Details and applications may be obtained from the college Scholarship Office.

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify.
