Housing & Accommodations

Collins College has partnered with RnR Real Estate to help students with housing in the Tempe and Phoenix area.

• Dormitory-style housing. A shared living experience, typically, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom furnished apartment is shared among four students. Each student has his or her own lease for the term that includes the cost of basic utilities. Pets are not permitted in the dormitory-style residences. The residences are located within a 5-mile radius of the college and are close to public transportation. The dormitory style residences are chosen based on their proximity to the college and other services.
• Independent referral. Independent referrals are available, free of charge, to all prospective Collins College students who do not wish to have roommates or who seek married housing. Apartments are available in a variety of Tempe and Phoenix neighborhoods. Students who choose this option will lease from the apartment building directly and will be responsible for all utilities. Pets may be accepted depending upon the individual terms of the apartment complexes.

 

1. Are utilities and furniture included?

Yes – all basic utilities and all basic furniture are included in your monthly rent amount.  Utilities are capped at $125 per month. On the rare occasion that this amount is exceeded, the overage is divided by the number of current occupants, and each person pays an equal amount with their next month’s rent.

2. How do you match me with roommates?

Upon enrollment into Shared Housing each student must fill out a detailed questionnaire which provides RnR with pertinent info regarding that student’s likes, dislikes, habits, hobbies, tastes and preferences. Answers to the questions found on the Shared Housing Application, are what we use to match you up with fellow students and future roommates; so be as specific as possible, because the more we know about you, the better your chances of being housed with people you have a lot in common with!

3. How do I sign up?

I couldn’t be easier to sign up for Shared Housing. 

• Fill out the Disclosure/Consent Form, Application and Co-signer Form (if you have a co-signer).
• Submit forms with the appropriate deposit within three weeks of receiving your housing packet in the mail or accessing it online.
• Make your check or money order payable to RnR Real Estate.
