ALUMNI FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Question: How can I connect or get in contact with other Alumni?

Answer: The Collins College Alumni Association is still being developed with a website currently being built that will allow alumni to network with one another. You may also join the official Alumni Association MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn groups.


Question: What resources exist to help me with my resume, cover letter, interviewing skills and job search?

Answer: Visit www.collins.optimalresume.com and log in to create a free account. This robust, online tool will walk you through the creation of an effective resume, cover letter and other professional documents. You can look for jobs posted by employers and even practice your interviewing skills through video training!


Question: How can I get a copy of my transcripts?

Answer: Please complete the Transcript Request Form and mail to the Registrar’s Office.


Question: If I am a graduate, can I go back to Collins and re-take courses for free?

Answer: Yes. Graduates have the option of auditing courses that were offered in their program of study at the time they attended. One can audit courses in their program by contacting their Program Chair (See chart below)

Question: I just graduated and haven’t received my diploma. When do I get it?

Answer: Upon graduation, it may take between 15 to 18 weeks to receive your diploma. If it has been longer than 18 weeks, you can contact the Registrar’s office by calling 1.800.876.7070 to inquire about your diploma.


Question: I’m an Alumni interested in working for Collins College. Who do I contact?

Answer: If you are interested in the possibility of teaching or working in another capacity for Collins College, you can search for all open jobs from Career Education Corporation by clicking here and searching for job openings at Collins College or any other CEC owned school.


Question: I am an Alumnus who plans on continuing my education. What schools will accept my credits?

Answer: The determination of acceptance of transfer credits is always made by the receiving institution. If you are interested in continuing your education, you must contact the institution you are interested in and ask them what credits they will accept.


Question: Who would I contact if I were interested in hiring Collins College students and/or start an internship relationship with the school for my company?

Question: Do I still have access to my Collins College portal and email as an alumnus?

Answer: As an Alumnus, you may still access the Collins College portal and use your Collins College email. If you forgot your password or need it reset, you may contact Student Services at Collins College by calling 1.800.876.7070.


Question: Do I still have access to my Collins College library?

Answer: As an Alumnus, you may still use the Collins College library resources within the library. If you have questions, you may contact Collins College Library by calling 480.446.1185 or by emailing library@collinscollege.edu.
