Brook Nunez
Principal of lifeinvector graphic design studio
Collins College Graduate

Brook NunezThis is a true story.  Brook Nunez had just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and decided to test her talent in New York City.  Shortly after moving to the city, she was racing through the subway station to catch her train and spotted a section of the “Want Ads” sticking out of a garbage can.  She quickly grabbed the paper out of the trash and ran to catch her train.

As she smoothed the crumpled paper, staring directly at her in large print was Wanted:  Senior illustrator for Toys “R” Us.  Not really thinking she had much of a chance at landing a senior position right out of school, Nunez thought, why not, and applied.

Nunez recieved the job as a senior illustrator and was one of only four illustrators at that time to work on the Toys “R” Us account.

Today Nunez lives in Chicago and for the past three years has run her own company lifeinvector (lifeinvector.com), which specializes in commercial graphics.

Nunez has worked for a list of companies we would all be thrilled to add to our resume, including Coke, DKNY, and Nike, Dr. Pepper, Digital Arts Magazine, Nintendo, and Alize.   Her expertise includes product illustrations, commercial packaging, product renderings, illustrations, and portraits for national and local clients.

Nunez describes her professional experiences as lucky.  Others however describe her as talented.

When asked how Nunez envisions her career unfolding, she sees herself at the very beginning of something much larger.  “I am inspired by so many directions in my life.  I really see this just as the beginning of my design career.”  And what a good beginning it is.
